AdvanTex® Wastewater and Greywater Treatment Systems

Orenco designs and manufactures advanced wastewater treatment products for all decentralized wastewater applications, from single homes to whole communities. More than 55,000 AdvanTex textile filter units have been installed to treat residential, commercial, and municipal wastewater, all over the world.

Our patented AdvanTex Treatment System is a compact and efficient recirculating packed-bed filter. Packed-bed filters have proven to be a highly reliable, energy-efficient, and low-maintenance technology. However, unlike other packed-bed filters — ones that use sand, peat, foam, or other materials for the treatment media — AdvanTex uses a lightweight, compact, and easy-to-maintain textile fabric.

AdvanTex Treatment Systems were honored by the Water Environment Federation with a 2011 “Innovative Technology Award” and by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities with a 2011 “Sustainable Community Award.” Because they are such an environmentally sound product, AdvanTex Treatment Systems help developers earn LEED credits.

AdvanTex Treatment Systems are also very easy to live with. They’re quiet and emit minimal odors. Plus, our residential and commercial-sized units have a very low profile, so they blend right into the landscaping.

AdvanTex® AX20 Treatment Systems

Orenco’s AdvanTex® Treatment Systems are the ideal solution for environmentally sustainable treatment of residential wastewater flows. Orenco’s AdvanTex AX20 units are a dependable, proven technology for treating residential septic tank effluent to better-than-secondary standards, including nitrogen-reduction. AX20 treatment pods are sturdy, watertight basins filled with lightweight, highly absorbent, engineered textile media that treats a tremendous amount of wastewater in a small space.

Applications

AX20 Treatment Systems are primarily intended for residential applications that require an advanced secondary treatment system, including new installations, retrofits, or repairs. They’re also used in small commercial applications. AX20 units are ideal for sites with poor soils and small sites, especially those that require a compact “filter on top of tank” configuration.

Flows

A single AdvanTex AX20 pod treats wastewater flows of up to 600 gpd (2271 L/day). AdvanTex Treatment Systems are modular, however, and can be installed in multi-pod arrays to handle higher flows.

AdvanTex® AX-RT Treatment Systems

Orenco’s AdvanTex® AX-RT Treatment Systems are a dependable, proven technology for treating residential septic tank effluent to better-than-secondary standards, including nitrogen-reduction. AX-RT treatment units consist of sturdy, watertight basins that incorporate recirculation-blend tankage and discharge tankage into a single module, along with lightweight, highly absorbent, engineered textile media that treats a tremendous amount of wastewater in a small space.

Applications

AX-RT Treatment Systems are intended for small-flow applications that require an advanced secondary treatment system, including new installations, retrofits, or repairs. They eliminate the need for separate recirculation and discharge tanks by performing both functions within a single module and are ideal for sites with shallow-bury requirements, sites with poor soils, or sites with small lot sizes.

Flows

AX-RT units treat wastewater flows of up to 600 gpd (2271 L/day) for the AX20-RT or 750 gpd (2839 L/day) for the AX25-RT. However, AdvanTex Treatment Systems are also modular. With proper flow-splitting, they can be installed in multi-unit arrays to handle higher flows.

AdvanTex® AX-RTUV Treatment Systems

Orenco’s AdvanTex® AX-RTUV Treatment Systems are a dependable, proven technology for treating residential septic tank effluent to better-than-secondary standards. These systems are also very effective for nitrogen reduction and effluent disinfection for subsurface reuse and greywater applications. 

The AX-RTUV treatment unit consists of a sturdy, watertight basin that incorporates recirculation-blend tankage, a UV chamber, and discharge tankage into a single module, along with lightweight, highly absorbent, engineered textile media that treats a significant amount of wastewater in a small space. The UV disinfection unit provides a 360-degree contact zone that reduces bacteria by 99.999%* (5 logs), meeting or exceeding the performance of other residential UV disinfection systems.

Applications

AX-RT Treatment Systems are intended for small-flow applications that require an advanced secondary treatment system and disinfection, including new installations, subsurface reuse, greywater applications, retrofits, or repairs. They eliminate the need for separate recirculation and discharge tanks by performing both functions within a single module and are ideal for sites with shallow-bury requirements, sites with poor soils, or sites with small lot sizes.

Flows

AX20-RT units treat wastewater flows of up to 600 gpd (2271 L/day), and AX25-RT units can handle up to 750 gpd (2839 L/day). In addition, AdvanTex Treatment Systems are modular. With proper flow splitting, they can be installed in multi-unit arrays to handle higher flows.

AX100 treatment units consist of sturdy, watertight basins filled with a lightweight, highly absorbent, engineered textile media that treats a tremendous amount of wastewater in a small space.

AX100 Treatment Systems are intended for large residential applications or commercial and municipal applications that require an advanced secondary treatment system. They’re also an excellent choice for decentralized settings, including new installations, retrofits, or repairs. AX100s are ideal for subdivisions, “fringe” development, hotels, resorts, schools, churches, businesses, manufactured home parks, RV parks, campgrounds, rest areas, and truck stops.

Flows

A single AdvanTex AX100 pod can treat flows of up to 5000 gpd (18,927 L/day). AdvanTex Treatment Systems are modular, however, and can be installed in multi-pod arrays to handle higher flows.

AX-Max Treatment Systems are intended for large-flow sites such as commercial and community applications that require an advanced secondary treatment system. They eliminate the need for separate recirculation and discharge tanks by performing both functions within a single module. AX-Max units are ideal for subdivisions, “fringe” development, hotels, resorts, schools, churches, businesses, manufactured home parks, RV parks, campgrounds, rest areas, and truck stops.

Flows

Orenco’s AdvanTex® AX-Mobile™ Treatment Systems are a portable, proven technology for treating primary-treated effluent to better-than-secondary standards, including nitrogen-reduction. They consist of a sturdy, fully-plumbed and prewired, watertight fiberglass tank incorporating recirculation-blend and discharge tankage into a single module. AX-Mobile Treatment Systems are intended for remote or temporary wastewater treatment applications requiring an advanced secondary treatment system, including work camps, forward operating bases, disaster relief and temporary flow diversions. They eliminate the need for separate recirculation and discharge tanks by performing both functions within a single unit. Multiple units can be arranged to accommodate larger flows, and units incorporating primary treatment tankage are available.

Flows

Depending on the model chosen, a single AdvanTex AX-Mobile unit can treat flows of 5000-15,000 gpd (18.9-56.8 m3/ day).
